As its name is derived from the Japanese word for a musjhroom, it is a produced by growing mycelium through textile resulting in one combined material in the end.
It is a vegan material that contains no animal products but has a natural feel like leather which cannot be achieved with PU.
However, this new product does not demonize leather in any way; rather, it is being introduced as the fourth option in fashion industry in addition to leather, fabric, and synthetic leather.
